  1. Wrongful death caused by motor vehicle collision between tractor-trailer and passenger vehicle. Decedent was traveling through intersection when tractor-trailer turned in front of decedent failing to yield right of way causing the collision. Case resulted in a confidential settlement in excess of $850,000.
  2. Serious personal injuries caused by motor vehicle collision. Plaintiff suffered numerous serious injuries requiring several surgical procedures. Upon reaching maximum medical improvement, plaintiff suffered from numerous impairments including vision problems. Case resulted in a confidential settlement in excess of $800,000.
  3. Serious injury caused by motor vehicle collision. Defendant’s vehicle ran stop sign colliding with plaintiff’s vehicle causing serious injuries. Plaintiff required multiple surgeries and was left with permanent injuries to lower back greatly affecting his ability to walk. Case resulted in confidential settlement in excess of $725,000.
  4. Wrongful death caused by near collision with log truck. Plaintiff was traveling along a small two-lane rural road when a log truck coming from the opposite direction veered into plaintiff’s lane. In an effort to avoid the log truck, the plaintiff’s vehicle swerved off the road thereby striking a tree resulting in the passenger’s wrongful death. Case resulted in confidential settlement for policy limits in excess of $700,000.
  5. Wrongful death caused by improper and/or illegal distribution of prescription medication. Case resulted in confidential settlement in excess of $700,000.
  6. Paralysis caused by collision between tractor-trailer and passenger vehicle at dusk. Plaintiff’s vehicle struck tractor-trailer from behind causing serious neck injury to passenger. Defendant claimed plaintiff was at fault in causing the collision by striking tractor-trailer from behind. A confidential settlement was reached in excess of $650,000.
  7. Serious and permanent injuries including multiple fractures to pelvic regions, fractures to lower back and fractures to face suffered by plaintiff who was backed over in loading zone when defendant inadvertently stepped on the gas pedal rather than the brake causing her vehicle to strike plaintiff thereby backing over him and pushing him through the front wall of his business. Case settled for $650,000.00.
  8. Wrongful death caused by motor vehicle collision between drunk driver and decedent. Plaintiff’s estate pursued claims against drunk driver and restaurant pursuant to Dram Shop action. Case settled with all defendants for confidential amount in excess of $650,000.
  9. Wrongful death caused by commercial truck striking pedestrian on interstate. Decedent lost control of vehicle whereupon he was ejected onto the highway. Upon landing on the highway, he was struck and killed by a commercial vehicle that failed to take evasive action. Case resulted in confidential settlement in excess of $600,000.
  10. Client suffered several personal injuries requiring surgery when the tractor trailer he was driving collided with a tractor trailer traveling in front of him. Client also suffered a brain injury including amnesia. Defendant driver was driving too slow for the conditions with no warning to other motorists. Settled for $500,000.00
  11. Permanent injury to mouth and jaw caused by dental malpractice. Plaintiff claimed that dentist negligently removed wisdom teeth thereby causing permanent damage to plaintiff’s mouth and jaw. Case resulted in a confidential settlement in excess of $475,000.*
  12. Home infested with termites and fungi. Plaintiffs claimed that their home was infested by termites and eaten up with fungi. Plaintiffs’ home was under contract with pest control company. Plaintiffs produced numerous inspection reports prepared by defendant company indicating no problems. Plaintiffs further produced medical records regarding allergies caused by fungi. Case resulted in confidential settlement in excess of $450,000.
  13. Serious injury caused by collision between bobtailing tractor-trailer and passenger vehicle. Tractor had stopped in middle of interstate on a dark, foggy, rainy evening. Tractor had no functioning taillights or reflective tape. Furthermore, the driver abandoned the tractor without putting out flares or reflective devices. Plaintiff suffered a serious injury which resulted in hip replacement surgery. Case resulted in confidential settlement in excess of $435,000.
  14. Home infested with termites. Plaintiffs claimed their home was totally destroyed by termite infestation. Plaintiffs’ home was under contract with pest control company. Plaintiffs produced numerous inspection reports prepared by defendant company indicating no problems. Case resulted in confidential settlement in excess of $400,000.
  15. Serious neck injury caused by collision between log truck and passenger vehicle. Log truck jackknifed as it ran a red light thereby striking the plaintiff’s vehicle. Plaintiff suffered a serious injury requiring neck surgery. A confidential settlement was reached in excess of $400,000.
  16. Serious and permanent injuries caused by slip and fall. Plaintiff slipped and fell in restaurant on greasy/slick floor. Plaintiff suffered a serious and permanent injury requiring several surgical procedures. Case resulted in a confidential settlement in excess of $350,000.
  17. Serious personal injuries caused by defective design of home elevator (dumbwaiter). Plaintiff was seriously injured when the dumbwaiter in which plaintiff was riding malfunctioned thereby falling to the ground. Plaintiff underwent 12 hours of emergency surgery which saved both arms. Plaintiff had a miraculous recovery and within months had full use of her arms and fingers. Case resulted in settlement for defendant’s policy limits in the amount of $300,000.
  18. Serious injuries caused by motor vehicle collision on interstate highway. Plaintiff was traveling on the interstate when defendant’s vehicle illegally crossed the median pulling out in front of traffic thereby failing to yield the right of way. A collision ensued whereby plaintiff suffered numerous serious injuries requiring multiple surgical procedures. Case resulted in a confidential settlement in excess of $290,000.
  19. Serious neck injury and mild brain injury caused by collision between tractor-trailer and passenger vehicle. As tractor-trailer was coming around a curve on two-lane road, its load shifted causing the entire vehicle to turn over as the plaintiff was approaching from the opposite direction. Plaintiff suffered a minor head injury and required neck surgery. Case resulted in confidential settlement in excess of $275,000.
  20. Serious hip injuries caused by motor vehicle collision. The vehicle in which plaintiff was a passenger tried to beat a yellow light by turning in front of an oncoming vehicle who likewise was trying to beat the yellow light. The vehicles collided in the intersection based on the reckless conduct of both drivers in attempting to beat the yellow light and in failing to yield the right of way. Although no surgery was required, the plaintiff was forced to drop out of school for a semester and was also required to undergo months of downtime and physical therapy in an effort to recover. Case resulted in a settlement for $200,000.
  21. Serious personal injuries caused by reckless driver in construction zone. Plaintiff was a passenger in the vehicle driven by defendant. Defendant was driving at an excessive rate of speed when the vehicle hit loose gravel in a well-marked construction zone. Defendant driver lost control thereby leaving the roadway whereupon the vehicle flipped and collided with trees. Plaintiff suffered a mild brain injury with loss of consciousness along with numerous fractures to arms, hands and fingers. Multiple surgical procedures were required. Case resulted in confidential settlement in excess of $200,000.
  22. Serious personal injuries caused by failure to properly maintain log truck. A log truck was traveling north on four-lane highway when one of its rear wheels came off thereby crossing the median colliding with plaintiffs’ vehicle as plaintiffs were traveling in the opposite direction. Driver of plaintiff’s vehicle received injuries which required surgical procedures. Cases resulted in a confidential settlement in excess of $180,000.
  23. Serious and permanent injuries to leg and hip requiring surgery with insertion of hardware. Plaintiff was traveling down four lane highway when vehicle pulled out from side road thereby failing to yield right of way. Case resulted in settlement in the amount of $175,000.00.
  24. Moderate brain injury caused by trip and fall. Plaintiff, while walking into a store, tripped due to the parking lot being unlevel. Plaintiff fell forward striking head and face on parking lot surface. Case resulted in a confidential settlement in excess of $145,000.
  25. Serious personal injuries caused by motor vehicle collision. Plaintiff was traveling on two-lane highway in rural Alabama when suddenly the defendant veered into plaintiff’s lane colliding head on with plaintiff. Plaintiff’s injuries included multiple leg fractures which required multiple surgeries. Case settled for limits of all available coverage in the amount of $140,000.
  26. Serious injuries caused by motor vehicle collision while plaintiff was riding a motorcycle. Plaintiff was riding a motorcycle on the highway when defendant’s vehicle turned in front of the plaintiff thereby failing to yield the right of way causing the collision. Plaintiff suffered a fractured leg requiring surgery along with numerous other injuries including a mild brain injury. Case resulted in a confidential settlement in excess of $125,000.
  27. Serious and permanent injuries suffered by Plaintiff who was riding a motorcycle down an interstate highway when he was run over from behind by an elderly driver. Case settled for $125,000.00 which was the limits of all available coverage.
  28. Serious and permanent injuries suffered by Plaintiff who was riding a motorcycle when a driver coming from the opposite direction turned in front of Plaintiff thereby failing to yield right of way. Surgery was required along with the insertion of hardware. Case settled for $125,000.00.
  29. Serious neck injury caused by motor vehicle collision. Plaintiff was driving bus commonly used by students to ride to and from campus. Passenger vehicle slammed into the rear of the bus causing bus driver to suffer a neck injury requiring surgery. Case resulted in confidential settlement in excess of $105,000.
  30. Multiple facial and dental injuries caused by motor vehicle collision. Plaintiff was passenger in a vehicle that was traveling at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control allowing the vehicle to leave the roadway. The plaintiff suffered multiple fractures to her face and jaw requiring surgery. Case resulted in a confidential settlement in an amount in excess of $100,000.
  31. Wrongful death caused by motor vehicle collision within city limits of small town. Decedent was traveling on city street when defendant’s vehicle ran stop sign colliding with driver’s side door. Case resulted in a confidential settlement in excess of $100,000.
  32. Serious neck injury caused by motor vehicle collision. Plaintiff was traveling on a rural Georgia road when defendant’s vehicle ran stop sign causing the collision. Plaintiff underwent neck surgery. Case resulted in a confidential settlement in excess of $100,000.
  33. Mild brain injury caused by collision between tractor-trailer and passenger vehicle. Tractor-trailer came over from hammer lane into slow lane colliding with vehicle in which plaintiff was a passenger. The plaintiff suffered a mild head injury when plaintiff’s head struck the rear windshield of the vehicle. Case resulted in confidential settlement in excess of $100,000.
  34. Mild brain injury caused by assault and battery at college frat party. Plaintiff alleged that he was assaulted at a college fraternity party by at least three individuals causing him to suffer a mild brain injury and a fracture to his face. Individual defendants agreed to settle the case for a confidential amount in excess of $85,000.
  35. Collision caused when passenger vehicle ran stop sign thereby striking cab of tractor trailer. Tracker trailer driver suffered a fractured neck resulting in surgery. The case settled for $85,000.00.
  36. Mild to moderate brain injury caused by motor vehicle collision. Plaintiff was traveling on two-lane road in rural Alabama when vehicle coming from opposite direction hydroplaned causing a collision. Plaintiff suffered from a mild to moderate brain injury causing personality changes, anxiety and PTSD. Case resulted in confidential settlement in excess of $80,000.
  37. Mild brain injury caused by motor vehicle collision. The plaintiff was stopped at a traffic light when the defendant crashed into the rear of the plaintiff’s vehicle. Plaintiff suffered a mild brain injury. Case resulted in a settlement in excess of $74,500.
  38. Moderate brain injury caused by assault and battery at college frat party. Plaintiff alleged that he was assaulted at a college fraternity party which resulted in a moderate brain injury when he was picked up and body slammed striking his head against a car bumper. Case resulted in a confidential settlement with multiple defendants in excess of $55,000.
  39. Mild to moderate brain injury caused by reckless conduct of defendant driver. Plaintiff was thrown off defendant’s vehicle due to wanton conduct on behalf of defendant driver. Plaintiff’s head struck pavement requiring hospitalization for mild to moderate brain injury. Defendant claimed contributory negligence on the part of the plaintiff. Case resulted in confidential settlement in excess of $40,000.
  40. Multiple injuries due to dog attack. Plaintiff, while walking down the sidewalk, was attacked by a Rottweiler. Plaintiff was saved by police officer who actually shot the dog during the rescue. Plaintiff was hospitalized for wounds requiring over 400 stitches. Plaintiff suffered permanent scarring. Confidential settlement reached for policy limits of homeowner’s coverage.
  41. Wrongful death of minor caused by preventable accidental shooting. Estate of minor child claimed that adults improperly left gun unattended and unsecured thereby leading to the preventable accidental shooting. Case resulted in confidential settlement for policy limits of homeowner’s coverage.
  42. Permanent injury caused by preventable accidental shooting. Two members of a hunting club proceeded to get their rifles out of the back seat of the defendant’s pickup truck. When the defendant picked up his rifle, it accidentally discharged shooting the plaintiff through the midsection. Plaintiff was initially listed in critical condition and incurred hundreds of thousands of dollars in medical expenses with permanent injury. Case resulted in settlement for policy limits of defendant’s coverage.
  43. Permanent injury caused by preventable accidental shooting. Defendant and plaintiff were walking together for exercise. The defendant’s pistol fell to the ground thereby discharging with the bullet striking the plaintiff. Bullet cannot be removed from plaintiff due to its location in proximity to the heart. Case resulted in confidential settlement under the policy limits of the homeowner’s policy.
  44. Wrongful death caused by the “over serving” of an intoxicated patron which resulted in crash. While traveling down highway, the driver who was allegedly intoxicated lost control of the vehicle whereupon vehicle left the highway and struck one or more trees resulting in driver’s death. The parents of said driver pursued a Dram Shop action against bar and grill. Case resulted in a confidential settlement for policy limits of all available coverage.
  45. Wrongful death caused by tractor-trailer striking pedestrian. Pedestrian attempted to cross four-lane highway late at night while allegedly under the influence of alcohol. Case resulted in confidential settlement.
  46. Serious and permanent injuries caused by motor vehicle collision with train. This case involved a collision between train and vehicle driven by plaintiff. Plaintiff received severe burns and numerous other injuries incurring medical expenses in excess of $1 million. Railroad claimed contributory negligence on the part of plaintiff. Case resulted in confidential settlement.
  47. Wrongful death caused by negligent design of railroad crossing. The case involved a situation where the car in which the plaintiff was a passenger went airborne as said car crossed the railroad tracks thereby crashing into a vehicle coming from the opposite direction. The estate of the decedent claimed the railroad crossing was negligently designed. Railroad claimed a multitude of defenses including intervening cause, contributory negligence and assumption of the risk. Case resulted in confidential settlement.
  48. Mild brain injury caused by assault and battery at college frat party. Plaintiff alleged that he was assaulted at a college fraternity party. Plaintiff suffered a mild brain injury and a fracture to his face. Case resulted in a confidential settlement.
  49. Wrongful death caused by head-on collision on interstate. Decedent was traveling on the interstate when a vehicle entered decedent’s lane of travel headed in the wrong direction striking her head on. Case resulted in a confidential settlement for policy limits.
  50. Wrongful death caused by drunk driver. Decedent was a passenger in a vehicle driven by a person allegedly under the influence of alcohol. Driver lost control leaving highway thereby striking a tree. Case resulted in confidential settlement for policy limits.
  51. Serious personal injuries caused by motor vehicle collision while plaintiff was riding a motorcycle. Plaintiff was traveling through an intersection when vehicle coming from the opposite direction turned in front of plaintiff thereby failing to yield the right of way. Plaintiff suffered numerous facial fractures, mild brain injury (loss of consciousness and amnesia) and a multitude of other injuries. Case resulted in a confidential settlement for policy limits.
  52. Wrongful death caused by motor vehicle collision. Decedent was driving to work early in the morning on a two-lane rural highway when the defendant ran a stop sign causing the collision. Case resulted in confidential settlement for policy limits of all available coverage.
  53. Wrongful death caused by motor vehicle collision involving a motorcycle. Decedent was traveling down busy four-lane highway when a car pulled out in front of decedent from a stop sign thereby failing to yield right of way causing the collision. Decedent was hospitalized with a serious traumatic brain injury for several weeks before he died. Case resulted in a confidential settlement for the policy limits of all available coverage.
  54. Wrongful death caused by motor vehicle the resulting of racing. Decedent was driving home from work on interstate when defendant who was involved in a race struck decedent from behind causing decedent’s vehicle to leave interstate whereby decedent was ejected from the vehicle.   55. Wrongful death caused by crash which was the result of a high speed chase. Decedent was traveling on a rural two-lane highway when defendant who was involved in a high speed chase crashed into decedent’s vehicle resulting in death.   56. Wrongful death caused by reckless driver striking a pedestrian. Plaintiff was standing in cul-de-sac in small Alabama town talking to some friends. A vehicle came into the cul-de-sac at a high rate of speed thereby losing control and striking the plaintiff causing plaintiff’s wrongful death. Case resulted in a confidential settlement for policy limits all available coverage.
  57. Wrongful death and personal injuries caused by motor vehicle collision. Husband and wife were traveling on interstate highway. Defendant who was traveling in the opposite direction lost control of his vehicle thereby crossing the median whereby he crashed into the plaintiff’s vehicle. Husband was killed and wife suffered physical and mental injuries. Case resulted in a settlement for policy limits all available insurance coverage.
  58. Wrongful death caused by head-on collision. Decedent was traveling on a two-lane rural road. Defendant coming from the opposite direction came around a curve in decedent’s lane thereby causing a head-on collision. Case resulted in a confidential settlement for the policy limits of all available coverage.
  59. Physical and mental abuse alleged against military academy by multiple plaintiffs. In these cases, the parents of young cadets made claims against the military academy and older cadets regarding physical and mental abuse. Claims ranged from institutionalized bullying to negligent and wanton failure to supervise the cadets. Cases resulted in confidential settlements for policy limits of all available coverage.
  60. Moderate to severe brain injury caused by motor vehicle collision. Plaintiff was traveling down a two-lane rural road when defendant pulled out in front of her from a stop sign thereby failing to yield the right of way. A collision ensued thereby causing plaintiff to suffer a moderate to severe brain injury. Case resulted in a confidential settlement for policy limits of all available coverage.
  61. Mild Brain injury, fractured neck and back and torn esophagus caused by high speed rear end collision on Interstate Highway. Plaintiff suffered loss of consciousness, dizziness, and nausea immediately preceding the collision. Case resulted in a confidential settlement for policy limits.
  62. Wrongful death caused when decedent’s vehicle was forced off highway by a vehicle that was improperly passing on a four lane highway. Decedent’s vehicle left highway thereby striking a tree resulting in wrongful death. Case settled for limits of all available coverage.
  63. Neck fracture caused by collision between passenger vehicle and train as Plaintiff crossed railroad tracks. Plaintiff alleged site was blocked by piles of old discarded railroad ties and further alleged that signal at crossing was defective. Case resulted in confidential settlement.
